About Band
Tony Brown is a musician, songwriter, vocalist, artist and performer who has dedicated his life to sharing the message of hope, peace, unity and love with the world. Tony has performed widely, in Europe, Africa, North and South America, Central America and The Caribbean.
Tony’s ever evolving music is a mixture of R&B, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms full of the spirit of life, entertainment, humor and joy. His music conveys the vision of hope and the desire and possibility of making this life better for all. The music and the lyrics are deep expressions of the spirit of wisdom and the inspiration of life that reaches out to people in this world and creates a commonality of all people through the songs, voices, instruments and emotions.
Tony consistently endeavors through the gift of his music to bring forth inspiring and encouraging messages of peace and love to heal this world.
1997
Tony Brown showcased at La Cantina in Cannes, France during MIDEM.
Tony showcased at The LMNOP Conference in New Orleans and
Tony showcased at the MRMF Conference in St. Louis.

1998
Tony performed a majority of performances as a "solo.” Throughout the .
Tony Brown released his first solo produced recording project, "Culture Mix." The CD release was distributed throughout the and Europe and it also reached , , , Africa, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean.
Tony showcased at The LNMOP Conference in New Orleans for the second year in a row and participated as a panelist at the conference.
Tony Brown and his company, Living Nations Productions, was retained as entertainment management for The Angelic Brewing Company in Madison, Wisconsin and orchestrated all "Live" music for the venue. Tony booked and managed promoting all musical events and produced and managed the onsite events five to six nights a week. Tony introduced Madison to a high quality, diverse musical array and he introduced a long list of Chicago-based and regional bands to the Madison area.
1999
Tony Brown and Living Nations Production continued to manage Angelic Brewing Company in Madison. Tony also produced a number of local concert performances featuring international, national, regional and local performing groups and artists.
Tony Brown returned to MIDEM World Music Market Place and was featured nightly with Alex Harvey in Cannes, France.
Tony was one of the featured artists at The LMNOP Conference in New Orleans.
In March, Tony visited San Pedro, and performed nightly at "Rasta Pasta”. Upon returning to the USA, Tony created and presented "The Big Back Yard Jam" in Madison, Wisconsin, bringing together the best musicians in Madison in a jam band concept, featuring: Roscoe Mitchell, Ben Sidran, Clyde Stubblefield, Paul Black, Jim Schwall, Jan Wheaton, Bruce Alford, Dave Stoler, Aarick Beher, Bob Westfall, Hanah Jon Taylor, David Hecht, Robert Julius Corbit and numerous other talented local musicians.
2000
Tony Brown continued to perform “LIVE” and tour. Living Nations Production/ Tony Brown also continued to manage "Live" presentations at The Angelic Brewing Company in Madison.
Tony Brown showcased at the NEMO Conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the House of Blues.
Tony showcased as a solo reggae artist/singer/songwriter in New York City at the Lion's Den and Sidewalk Cafe.
Tony created and presented the first "Madison Music Showcase."
Tony Brown recorded and performed with "The Funkmasters" (Clyde Stubblefield and Jabo' Starks formerly of the famous James Brown and the Flames).
Tony Brown returned to where he performed nightly at Rasta Pasta Rainforest Restaurant in San Pedro, and was featured on Belizean radio in the month of March.
Tony Brown toured with Justin Hinds and the Dominoes from .
Tony opened shows for Burning Spear from Jamaica, during the same time period.
2001
Tony continued recording an original musical project at Aarick Behers Studio in Madison, Wisconsin.
Tony began a second recording of digital music at Surround Sound with Fred Mosley, during this time period of expansion.
Tony began performing with his son-in-law Kevin B.F.Burt on select performance dates in Iowa and Wisconsin.
2002
Tony was inducted into the Iowa Music Hall of Fame.
Tony began writing and producing original songs with Fred Mosley (Surround Studio) in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Tony and long time friend Jack LaTourneau began putting some finishing touches on a release of some "LIVE" recording done in Madison at the Dane County Auditorium at Paragon Recording in Chicago.
Tony joined forces with local Minneapolis music icon Wain McFarlane (Ipso Facto founding father) in Minneapolis, and back in Madison.
Tony and the regional band Natty Nation performed together on select performance dates in the Midwest.
2003
Tony began the year by completing his new CD, Mo' Lotta. The CD consists of twenty-two songs with original art and photos included in the packaging.
Tony Brown and the Landing Crew performed an upper Midwest tour to promote the new release. During the fall of 2003 Tony combined forces with the Madison based band Natty Nation to perform and recorded some live shows in the area.
2004
Tony performed solo in Florida and in the latter winter months of 2004. He relocated to San Pedro, and began performing and working at Rasta Pasta in Caye Caulker, , Central America.
2005
Tony moved from Caye Caulker, Belize, to Ambergris Caye, San Pedro, to assist in the opening of new Rasta Pasta and to pursue more musical exposure in .
After three months in San Pedro, Tony performed nightly at Fido’s in San Pedro as a member of the house band. He formed several musical groups to perform at Fido’s. He also worked on promoting Belizean music and the development of a Belizean music industry. Within a year Tony returned to the for one month to record and do a brief band tour of the upper Midwest, afterward he returned to San Pedro.
2006
Tony showcased local and regional music and musicians in San Pedro and performed four nights a week at Fido’s in San Pedro, . He continued to work as the Music Director/Manager for Fido’s until May of 2006, at which time, he returned to the United States to pursue some new musical projects and to continue performing and presenting his original art work. Upon his return to the , Tony began teaching music and guitar to inner city students in Iowa and also served as a mentor for at risk/ high risk children in public schools in Iowa and Wisconsin.
2007
Tony organized his new band project, “Tony Brown & 608 Riddim Section,” and began performing with the band in the upper Midwest in January.
In May of 2007 Tony and members of The 608 Riddim Section began recording the new CD, “Freedom Beyond Recognition ,” at DNA Studios in Madison, Wisconsin.
Throughout the year Tony continued to perform his “SOLO” show throughout the Midwest.
In June Tony was one of the featured artists at The Steelbridge Songfest hosted by Jackson Browne and Pat MacDonald (of Timbuktu 3) in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin www.steelbridgesonfest.org.
Tony Brown & Kevin B.F.Burt participated in benefits to improve the quality of life for less fortunate people and to raise funds for the homeless and food pantries in Iowa and Wisconsin.
2008
Tony began focusing more on his SOLO performances and his songwriting. Throughout the year Tony continued to worked on completing the CD, “Freedom Beyond Recognition.”
Tony, along with other members of the band IBTC were inducted into the Iowa Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in August 2008.
Tony returned to The Steelbridge Songfest in Wisconsin as a featured artist and songwriter.
2009
Tony released in February 2009 as the new “EP2009” recording.
Tony toured the Midwest performing as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter, with occasional band
performances.
Tony returned to Steel Bridge Songfest 5 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin as one of the featured songwriters and performers.
Tony released the new CD “Freedom Beyond Recognition,” September 2009
